If you start exercising, soon you'll realize your endurance is getting better. Slowly you will find that you can walk longer distances before getting short of breath. That means your body is getting used to your walking and its efficiency is improving. Keeping fit will reduce your cholesterol levels, and will not let your arteries get clogged. It will keep you stress free mentally and also delay the advent of Alzheimer's disease. Age can bring more health related problems like heart disease, diabetes, etc at an early stage in life if you do not eat right and exercise regularly. This does not mean that you have to work out like 'Arnold' or 'Sylvester', but in general you should be fit enough to walk a few miles or climb a few floors without panting.

The normal daily requirement of hydration in human beings is about one to two liters of fluids. Drinks containing water, like tea, coffee, fruit juices, non alcoholic or mildly alcoholic beverages like beer and plain sparkling water, can be consumed to maintain the fluid balance of our bodies. If the daily water needs are not met, dehydration occurs. Even minor dehydration causes loss of energy, headaches and poor concentration, further reduction in the intake of water may cause health problems as less water decreases the volume of blood, leading to a lesser supply of blood to the all the organs like heart, brain, respiratory system, digestive system, etc.

The thirst mechanism of our bodies inform us, when we should drink water. Though this mechanism is less developed in children, they are very active and lose a lot of water through perspiration so their fluid intake must be well monitored and regulated. With the elderly people too the mechanism is less sensitive; moreover their fluid intake becomes less, purposefully in order to avoid frequent trips to the toilet. So they may be given lots of fluids in the form they like in order to maintain good hydration. Hydration is crucial to maintain when we exercise, as we lose a lot of body fluids in the form of perspiration. So it is important to replace lost fluid in the body by drinking enough water for the optimal physical and mental performance.
Water keeps you fit internally and externally. It flushes out all the toxins from your body, giving you healthy skin. Additionally you also do not have to watch out for calories while drinking water!!! Water is truly the fuel for life.
It is only with relaxing your body that you can avoid any kind of pull or injury. The muscles will no longer be tense and hence they move smoothly and do not cause any discomfort.
